Horace Ruben Scholarship Banquet

The Brothers of W.C. Thomas Lodge #112 have hosted the Horace Ruben Scholarship Banquet since 1986. Named in honor our Past Master Horace Ruben in 1993, each year this banquet celebrates the resiliency and academic achievements of rising Seniors or 1st year college students from our community. Through generous donations from our community partners and sponsors, as well as the fundraising efforts of the Brothers of W.C. Thomas Lodge #112, this event gives away a minimum of $5,000 annually to scholarship recipients. To date this event has assisted more than 45 youth with financial support in the amount of approximately $40,000.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

1. REVIEW YOUR ELIGIBILITY

Check the requirements below:

1. Must be a person of color
2. Must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
3. Must be a rising Senior or 1st year Freshman in higher education

2. PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTATION

Complete the application, provide the most recent school transcripts, and the student’s personal essay.
Submit the required documentation via mail and it must be post marked prior to the provided date on the application.
